This crocheted red and tan shawl is made from various gifts of threads I’ve received over time from some lovely friends.
The body is a combination of a cream silk thread and a tan cashmere fine laceweight. Both were on a cone and I wasn’t sure what to do with either, but I liked them used together. The red is Habu silk thread a friend gave me years ago. This was very soft and didn’t bleed in the blocking rinse; which made me so happy.
Pattern is a modified Klamath Shawl, with slip stitches in the body on a few rows to add some color then over exaggerated points on the final row which blocked out nicely. It’s very soft and light. The rinse made it extra soft – dreamy.
