In my effort to complete the 12 Shawls in 2013, I try to get ahead in January so I can break from shawls to make holiday gifts later in the year. Here is shawl #3 (the Piquant by Lily Go). I like the way this pattern works from the band to border, then to the body. Different but not overwhelming.
Crocheted in Dream in Color Wisp in a sweet lavender pink called Shy. I held the yarn double, so I only used @ 430 yards or so if it were to be singly.
My modifications are:
- Didn’t like to over-sized points in the edging so I only did the first 2 rows then the last one and added beads to the points.
- Cut yarn after the 2nd to the last row, then rejoined at the very edge and sc all the way across, though that looked neater.
- Nice pattern (as always with Lily Go patterns), I would make this again.
