Forest Canopy Shawl

I tried to make this shawl when I first started knitting and it was a bit too ambitious for my skills then but I really liked it so I kept it in my queue for later. I added more rows to the body and border and it’s a very good size to be useful. The colors in this are just beautiful and crazy thing – I found another skein of this after I cast off. I’ll save it for a scarf I think. If I had the chance to do it again, I would change the border to ‘grow’ at it’s edges. The border in the pattern has no increases, so it looks a bit odd to me. The yarn was from my trip to the Knitter’s Connection convention in Ohio years ago. Shame they don’t hold that anymore.
