So, I bought a very odd and old floor lamp, that weighs a ton, and spray painted it Grinch green because – well – I had that color. There was no plan, no great artistic statement, but I feel like all this ‘fly by the seat of my pants’ worked out very well this one time.
The floor lamp came with a ripped drum shade and – WOWZA! – shades can be quite expensive.I had the wire frame and Pinterest so I felt like I could just whip something up. A year later, that’s what happened. I just made a foundation chain to fit the metal frame, then did a band in single crochet, shells for the body, and enhanced the last row of shells for the edge.
