In my garage was an Opus One wine box box that has moved with me to a few homes with the idea it could be made into something else. I mean, since 1994.

Sadly the lid was warped, so it limited what I could do with it. I removed one long side then attached that to the front with wood glue and it’s existing nails. I added more wood glue + a few small finishing nails all over to give it strength, then I used antiquing wax + water to make it look aged like this.

What about laying them down to keep the corks wet? Well, these aren’t collector wines and some are twist offs. Yes. I only have cheap wine and now anyone who comes over will know that.

I really like it though. Feels good to have an easy win for free and get this box out of my garage.
