Yes, another Venetian Carnival Cowl. When I published this pattern, I know I mentioned that I don't publish a pattern unless I enjoyed it immensely. So, yes, I did make another one. I just love the Madelinetosh Merino Light, in any color! I don't think they have a bad colorway, TBH. These buttons are actually… Continue reading Venetian Carnival Cowl

Shell Script Scarf
It may seem silly that I make my own pattern often, but this is why I published them - because I really do enjoy making them that much. This is the Shell Script Shawl, but in the pattern instructions are given for the scarf version. This yarn is a dk weight whipped up quickly during… Continue reading Shell Script Scarf
Alpine Frost Scarf
Love, love, love this yarn Berroco Folio in the colorway Cushing. The softness made it hard to put down once started. The pattern was in Interweave Crochet, Winter 2008. Beginning at one side until I used 1/2 the yarn, then with the remaining yarn, joined back on the starting edge to complete the other side,… Continue reading Alpine Frost Scarf
Irish Chevron Scarf
Back in Summer 2013, we visited Ireland and I found some souvenir yarns. I wanted a project where I was able to use them all but living in Florida - a broiling Aran sweater doesn't make much sense. Settling on a free chevron scarf pattern by Claire Mitchell, I used my yardage counter and divided… Continue reading Irish Chevron Scarf
More train crochet – Diamond Exchange Scarves
Wow, these 2 days a week on the train are really turning out to be a great thing. The only downside can be the delays. Sometimes as long as an hour, but I've never met a knittor or crocheter who minds a wait as long as they have a project bag with them. I'm no… Continue reading More train crochet – Diamond Exchange Scarves
Duck Pond Scarf
I fell in love with Sheep Shop II (discontinued) wool when I first started to knit several years ago and faved this stitch pattern as well, and hoped I would eventually be a good enough knitter to make it. Hundreds of projects later, something pointed me back to this forgotten wool and pattern and I'm… Continue reading Duck Pond Scarf
Chevron scarf in luxury yarns
Started this scarf a long time ago, and decided to pick it up again and try to complete it. Loving the feel of this fine yarn, 2 skeins of Handmaiden Casbah Sock, I knew it would be heaven on the neck and thought the colors would fun in a the Chevron Scarf by Domesticat. Not… Continue reading Chevron scarf in luxury yarns
Ewe Tube Cowl
This pattern is fun for me, so I wanted to put it out there and hope others enjoy it too. It's done in sock weight and I've made 2 and I need to make some more for Christmas gifts. Find it on Etsy Find it on Ravelry
A new cowl pattern coming soon…
This crocheted cowl pattern will be available within a few weeks. It uses sock yarn for the body and a worsted weight contrast yarn for the oversized stitching inserts.
Skull Scarf for Halloween
This is really cool and I'll be making more of these for sure. This is the Painted Desert yarn (by Knitting Fever) in my previous post crocheted in to a skull scarf for Halloween. I really love it. The scarf is kind of my own thing, but the skull insert can be found here.
