This was a fun pattern, the Common Ground hoodie, and I chose Cascade 200 regular (yes, the felting kind because I live on the edge). I had 10 skeins in plain whit and really wanted to use them for something big. If I get a stain or spot, I will just dye it if it's… Continue reading Uncommon Ground Hoodie (minus the hood)

Denim Cardigan
This has to be the most practical sweater I've ever made and I can't believe the pattern was free. Yes, a free pattern. It's perfect for work and since I went up a needle size, it truly breathes. The 3/4 sleeves with the lace ends are just a small modification since I prefer upper arm… Continue reading Denim Cardigan
Christmas sweater completed :)
It's done and I wore it already. It's dreamy and bright enough to lead Santa's sleigh! Best part - it's even been cool enough to wear it the last few days.
A Christmas sweater for me
I'm enjoying this yarn quite a bit but then, does Malabrigo make any yarn that isn't fun to work with? I always have trouble committing to the right buttons ...
Florida Keys and knitting
I don't know if people knit here because my public knitting, which not many people bat an eye to at home, has gotten some weird looks and bizarre comments. At a lunch spot, "Are you knitting? Will you teach me? I'll call you the sweater lady." Then from a woman down at the beach with… Continue reading Florida Keys and knitting
Mr. Greenjeans Cardigan – Project #3
This was a fun knit and project #3 for Camp Loopy. The requirement for this project was to use 800+ yards, so this was @900. I really enjoyed this pattern (Mr. Greenjeans) and the yarn (Malabrigo Rios in cream and Pimavera). Changed the raglan increases to kfb instead of the yo holes because I think… Continue reading Mr. Greenjeans Cardigan – Project #3
Pink Cardigan
Ta-da! Finished the Pretty in Pink cardigan started here. The feel of this sweater and color are great. I had to get a sweater shaver because it does pill a bit. Very warm in the freezer of a meeting room at work.
Pretty in Pink
I'm casting on the Gemma cardigan (found at KnitPicks) but I have plans to change it some. I want typical raglan sleeves so I don't have to fiddle with short rows and trying to hide M1's. Let's just say - I've never been able to fool anyone and I find myself staring at the holes… Continue reading Pretty in Pink
New sweater for the new job…
I landed a very nice new job, down the road and perfect hours. I know I'm a lucky duck with this crummy economy, so I'm very thankful. It was a lengthy hiring process though, so I worked on this sweater while I did everything they asked me to. I really like it and it's not… Continue reading New sweater for the new job…
