This is just a simple basket weave blanket for a co-worker, due in August. The yarn is Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly from Michaels in a YUGE skein, but I think I only used @800yds of it.

Dainty Mary Janes
A friend at work asked for baby booties for her expectant friend, so we settled on this cute pattern and she just loved them. The yarn is Berroco Vintage, buttery soft and washable. I love this yarn. The buttons are just some leftover bridal buttons to dress them up a little bit. Farewell tiny shoes!
Special Olympics Scarves
What a great idea, really.
Robin’s Egg Afghan
This WIP has been "In progress" since February 2009. In my own defense, it's pretty hot here to be stitching together a heavy blanket, so I only worked on it in the winters. Looks nice on my bed but I have so many of them and this one is extra long (5' x 8') and… Continue reading Robin’s Egg Afghan
Merry Christmas from MyDailyFiber!
I'm on a bit of a hiatus now doing other things for the holidays, like baking, decorating and traveling. Early, I know, but I don't want to miss sending my best wishes for you and your family for a joyous season of laughter, kindness and love. "I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try… Continue reading Merry Christmas from MyDailyFiber!
Thanksgiving may be over, but I’m still thankful
Over the years I've learned to simplify my Thanksgiving a bit by using more out of the box foods and enjoying the meal more. I still spend time on certain things, but I've let go of a few things that seemed like they weren't worth the time I was putting into them. This year we… Continue reading Thanksgiving may be over, but I’m still thankful
Christmas gift making
Trying to get a head start on done winter mittens for Christmas. One more color to go. These are Wood hollow mittens in Cascade 220 super wash.
Christmas in July, 2011, continued
A few gift scarves are finished for Christmas, whew! But I still have a to-knit-or-crochet list a mile long. Eventually I'm hoping that I can learn to not over commit my tired hands to so many projects, but I have a yarn room with so much stash - I need to keep going. Two finished… Continue reading Christmas in July, 2011, continued
Christmas in July, 2011
I have to work on my Christmas gifts year-round, or I would never get them done. From Webs, this is worsted jo-joland + Valley Yarns Stockbridge. I will make two matching, one for a little girl and her mom. These go very fast for me, so I really enjoy working on them. Scarves or often… Continue reading Christmas in July, 2011
Itty Bitty Baby Feet
A cousin asked if I would make socks for her soon-to-arrive baby. I honestly had nothing on the needles so how could I say no? They're a hybrid of a few patterns, but soft and cute anyway.
