Quiet time produces so much joy

In the last month I’ve made quite a few things. I was overwhelmed with work drama so I tuned out from everything – facebook and other sites – for a bit and really just enjoyed the quiet. So meditative to bring life down a notch and just enjoy the scrumptious and squooshy yarns and the rhythm of the stitches.

Here are a few of the things I made in just a few weeks…

(left to right)

  1. Plaits and Pins hat
  2. Dwarven Mittens
  3. Team Spirit Cowl
  4. Easter Egg Striped Baby Blanket
  5. Funny Stripes
  6. Lacy Droop Hat
  7. Striped Baby Sweater
  8. Nom-Nom

Robin’s Egg Afghan

This WIP has been “In progress” since February 2009. In my own defense, it’s pretty hot here to be stitching together a heavy blanket, so I only worked on it in the winters. Looks nice on my bed but I have so many of them and this one is extra long (5′ x 8′) and going to my tall ex-husband. He always appreciated my crocheting and is excited to have this one. Done in Lion Brand’s Vanna’s Choice, once washed it became incredibly and surprisingly soft for a machine wash/dry afghan.
