Quiet time produces so much joy
In the last month I've made quite a few things. I was overwhelmed with work drama so I tuned out from everything - facebook and other sites - for a bit and really just enjoyed the quiet. So meditative to bring life down a notch and just enjoy the scrumptious and squooshy yarns and the… Continue reading Quiet time produces so much joy
Autumn Leaves Baby Sweater
I've made this a few times - LOVE the pattern. Great baby gift. I found the fabric covered buttons on Etsy at HowBeadyful and they are the 1/2" ones. Too sweet. One is a baby gift, I have the others on reserve as stand-by baby gifts I guess. Like the 2 pink ones I've made… Continue reading Autumn Leaves Baby Sweater
Back home, safe and sound
I'm home from my recent trip north to visit my sister and her family. We had a nice time making paper craft tags and packaging for my Etsy shop. My sister is VERY good at things like this, so I was very grateful for the help. My ideas flourish in fluffy fibers, while her's do… Continue reading Back home, safe and sound
Flower Baby Blanket
A new flower baby blanket for my Etsy shop....
Autumn Baby Gifts
Recently, a friend asked if I would make a blanket for a "Black & White themed baby room, but with a touch of orange" and then make a "pumpkin sack and cap" for this new little sweetie pie. Here are the finished pieces...
Woohoo for Baby Blankets
I make these when I drive - YEP - You read that correctly. BUT not when I'm moving, just at traffic lights, train crossings, bridge openings, lunch breaks or just as a passenger when someone else is driving. They're made with washable, dryable easy care yarn and are so soft. They are currently for sale… Continue reading Woohoo for Baby Blankets
Basketweave baby blanket
This is just a simple basket weave blanket for a co-worker, due in August. The yarn is Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly from Michaels in a YUGE skein, but I think I only used @800yds of it.
Dainty Mary Janes
A friend at work asked for baby booties for her expectant friend, so we settled on this cute pattern and she just loved them. The yarn is Berroco Vintage, buttery soft and washable. I love this yarn. The buttons are just some leftover bridal buttons to dress them up a little bit. Farewell tiny shoes!
Itty Bitty Baby Feet
A cousin asked if I would make socks for her soon-to-arrive baby. I honestly had nothing on the needles so how could I say no? They're a hybrid of a few patterns, but soft and cute anyway.
