Summer Linen Destash Top

Made a top from old-weird-splitty-linen-yarn (MaggiKnits Maggi’s Linen) that I really needed to either use, or toss. No pattern, just my crazy idea, but I cleared out a good amount of drawer space in my yarn dresser. (Just in time to stash some hand dyed from a friend)

“Yarn Diet? What’s a yarn diet?” Like any diet, I just can’t seem to follow it. – LOL

Woohoo for Baby Blankets

I make these when I drive – YEP – You read that correctly. BUT not when I’m moving, just at traffic lights, train crossings, bridge openings, lunch breaks or just as a passenger when someone else is driving.

They’re made with washable, dryable easy care yarn and are so soft. They are currently for sale in my Etsy shop….

Nacho Granny’s Scarf – Crochet Pattern

Who loves the Granny Square? I do! I do!

The first crochet I learned was from magazines called Granny Squares and I loved these books. Did you ever have any of these?

Do you recognize the first model in the poncho? Maybe from Mork & Mindy?

Ok, back to Grannies…. Here is my latest pattern, a scarf. Very easy and fast if you already crochet. If not, you should be able to get the hang of it in no time.

Robin’s Egg Afghan

This WIP has been “In progress” since February 2009. In my own defense, it’s pretty hot here to be stitching together a heavy blanket, so I only worked on it in the winters. Looks nice on my bed but I have so many of them and this one is extra long (5′ x 8′) and going to my tall ex-husband. He always appreciated my crocheting and is excited to have this one. Done in Lion Brand’s Vanna’s Choice, once washed it became incredibly and surprisingly soft for a machine wash/dry afghan.
