Annalisa’s Shawl

This is the Ishbel Shawl, which has become a favorite for me. This is a Christmas present but I try to make those well in advance because I’m not one to try to knit in a deadline. That ruins the peaceful fun of knitting for me. This is knit in Madelinetosh Tosh Sock in the color Port. So it’s mostly a very dark purple, just about black with spots of lighter purples. I hope she will like it. I plan to make a small drawstring pouch for it to keep it in.

  1. Gorgeous! I made an Ishbel, but changed it around. I need to make one like the pattern!

  2. I bought these beads locally in a small bead shop for $7 each (crazy I know), but also found them online for less. To add them, I used a tiny crochet hook, put it through the bead hole, picked up a loop of yarn, and pulled it through, k2tog (since this loop as an increase), and then kept knitting. I thought they added a nice touch for a gift.
